The darkness consumes us,
Kept from our own lives.
We try to break free
Of the pain that survives.
The power of love is broken;
No more do we feel alive.
We search for that star
That will guide us through an endless night.
The blackness is overpowering
No one understands.
Then we look to the stars
And we can touch them;
Feel them in our hands.
